With that said, on to my project lists
Short Stories
I will be working on these the most. Im going to try and get them publish somewhere (I need help finding places) in hopes of getting people interested in my writing. Look forward to many more short story update posts and releases. Any help finding publications or with editing of these short stories will be very much appreciated.
Birth Right: This short story is about an airship captain and his goal of boarding and plundering the mysterious Castle Ship that flys over the country-side. This is going through its second edit at the moment, I really need to get some other people to take a look at it and give some editing advise. I hope to try and get it publish in the [link]
The Alchemist: A strange group gathers in a small bar in the middle of no where. They share good times and tales of slaying monsters. This short story is an introduction to the Alchemist, a Hunter that uses strange alchemical mixtures to accomplish his tasks.
First draft released here: [link]
Ghost Rider: Another Alchemist story that is told by an outside perspective when a cop pulls over a strange blood covered dodge magnum, things just get stranger as time goes on. Also hints a little at how the normal world covers up what they dont understand. This is a intro that will lead into the second novel of the Alchemist series (discussed farther down).
First draft released here: [link]
Trouble at the Church: An introduction to Jonathan Lank and his world. This story is background for the character and explores how he gained some of his powers. Its divided into five parts and the first draft is currently sitting in a notebook waiting to be written up on a computer for an edit release.
The Artifact: A background/intro story for the Master Nations series that I plan to write, just need to get access to my outlines and notes. It involves a pair of adventures looking for something they can cell to help one of their kids. During this they stumble upon one of the worlds greatest evils greatest secrets. Im a little over half-way done with writing the first draft.
Collar: A day in the life short story about a hacker in a cyberpunk type setting. Still sitting in the concept phase of my writing, though as soon as I get done with the Artifact Ill be putting stuff into this.
Untitled project: Kuroneko-hime gave me the idea to write a short story about a zombie alien invasion. I know it sounds weird, thought I think I have a semi-interesting idea that could be fun for me. If nothing else, this would be fun for me to write.
Novels
The first three are my major projects, while the other two are things I would enjoy getting out there. I will work fairly slow on these for the time being, writing and hoping to do this right. If you wish to critique my work (I really need editing help!) just ask. Im going to try and limit it to three to five people per project.
The Jonathan Lank Series: This is my pride and joy, Ive been building concepts, character ideas, world ideas for a very long time now (since just around when Ava and I first started dating). This series is planned to be a trilogy, though I do have an idea for a fourth book that might continue the story-line in a slightly new direction. This story is about a world besieged by hell. Only a collection of towns struggle to exist outside of the seven major sealed cities (called the Seven Seals). It starts with a man who, in an attempt to seal the gates to hell, leads a group of gifted individuals (mages, psionics, and himself an energy weaver) into the depths of hell to slay the devil. I have parts of this done and most of it planned out, I have high hopes for this one and the biggest fears about this one out of all my ideas. When and if you ever hear me get frustrated and give up on writing, its because of the fear of messing up this project (even if Im not currently working on it, I still think about it a lot).
The Master Nations Series: I forgot how many books I have planned for this series, I just know its more then 6 and I have a few novel off-shoot ideas for the series. Its about a fantasy worlds conflict with a dangerous lich that the powers that be choose to ignore rather then risk war with. This story follows an odd pairing of a necromancer, a druid and friends as they ban together to slay this lich with the artifact that they discovered.
The Alchemist Series: A series I hope to plan out at least 7 books. It follows the tale of the Alchemist as he confronts other worldly conflicts and threats. I have two books already planned for it.
The 7th-wing Chronicles: A series set in a steampunk like setting and follows a man and his plan to topple the current, un-fair and controlling government structure. Still plotting, not sure how long I want this story to be, though Im thinking two books will do just fine.
Master Thy Demons: Originally set in the NWoD mage setting, I plan to make some changes to it and publish it in a setting of its own (Im still going to try and send it to white-wolf, but I dont think they are doing novels right now). After a freak encounter of two mages, the life of one of those mages is changed forever. While once he tried his best to stay outside the mage world, he is now thrust into the spot lite of the mages in his area. Its only planned to be one novel so far, though I like it enough to try and turn it into a series.
Poems...
This will be my slowest set of projects. I hope to get more done soon, but we will see.
ABC Poetry: One world titled poems that give said titles definitions. This is a project I have been slowly working on for some time now. I have a layout idea on the book and I have some poems written up for it and posted on my DA page (deadstilltalk), though they will be undergoing some editing before I post them.
About the Author: A long poem that is suppose to confront certain aspects of my life. I may or may not actually publish this, it may end up being to personal to me. Although I will talk about myself and things going on with my life, I am rarely as open about the entire thing as I lead on (to everyone but Kuroneko-hime that is).
13th Project Series: Small poetry books that I want to make that cover certain topics and have selected poems from friends, and article about said subject matter from each poet and a min/mix of 13 poems. The first one that Im thinking of doing is Life-cycle of seasons.
Gaming
There are so many things I love and hate about so many different systems. So many times Ive said why doesnt this have that/do that, that Ive decided to make my very own system. The TMP % system plays off of statistics based upon your skills and attributes, even the health and conviction/willpower rolls are based upon %s. I will need LOTS of help with this and world love for some of you gamers out there to jump in and help me make an enjoyable system thats worth something.
Earth-X: A post apocalyptic game setting where the natural and material world has mutated into something more then they once were. Character build uses a tribe system, where each character is born into one of the seven major human mutations (supplements will have other mutations as time goes on).
The world has fallen into ruin, mutated and turned on us, and its our fault. After a terrible war decimated most of the world, we learned of a new way to destroy ourselves. The X-bomb, created from a newly found Element, seemed to have no negative environmental side effects. Nation after nation built there own bombs, threats flew and we were at a stand still. No one can tell when or even who launched the first bombs, but everyone followed.
As for environmental side effects, nothing died, it just changed. The earth attacks us now, technology has a mind o fits own, animal life is mutated into millions of terrible and new strands, and even the Virtual Net is alive. The changes to us are the strangest, but Im sure you already know about that.
The Immortals: Still not fully sure if I want this to be modern or alternate world/history Victorian steampunk style setting
(my original outline) Every century or so they are born, they go through life without knowing just how special they are, its normally something traumatic that brings it to someones attention, an accident that they were the only survivor or an event hat they should have died from, but lived through by some miracle. Some even die before they learn the truths, though death is just the conduit through which they learn what they really are.
They are The Immortal.
They are a mystery of science and have witnessed things that this world doesnt understand, or want to believe. Little kills them, short of either destroy their bodies beyond regeneration, severing their heads and keep them from their bodies long enough for decomposition, even secrets of the ancient forbidden arts.
As the centuries move on and Earths population increases, so does the amount of Immortals awakening every century. Organizations exist to seek out those newly awakened beings and help cover up their existence from the paranoid world. Only teams equipped with the few of them that care sense the existence of other immortals are sent out by these organizations.
The newly awakened are brought into these organizations, which most have recently joined together under one banner. They are taught about their new existence and offer special programs that help keep them secret through their life-times, even help council them over the centuries to help deal with the passing of time and the loss of old friends.
Fantasy Setting: This one I know I want to do, and I have an idea as to what I might want to do, but Im not sure. Ill need the most help with this one. I want character creation the most open, with character templates for builds. Where the Immortals have their Immortal Arts and Earth-X has their mutations, all class like abilities consist of merits and flaws. I have an outline for an in-depth magic system that I want to use with this.
